Our promise
You can read more about the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants in the blog Nasveti None Luisa in the entry Deodorant or antiperspirant - what is the difference between them?
Ingridients
Arrowroot flour
Commonly used in cosmetics. It is obtained from the roots of the tropical arrowroot plant. It is a white, odorless and tasteless powder. Nase perfectly binds moisture and prevents the growth of microorganisms. It gives the deodorant a silky texture and reduces the oily feeling of natural butters and oils.
Coconut oil
Extra virgin coconut oil is an effective antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant that also nourishes and soothes the skin. It contains lauric acid and its derivative monolaurin. Monolaurin is also found in breast milk. Protects the baby from infections. Monolaurin, together with lauric acid, is successful in the fight against various bacteria.
bicarbonate of soda
It is the most common and well-known ingredient in natural deodorants. Our sweat has a slightly acidic pH, and baking soda is a weak base. In this way, it creates a slightly basic environment in which the growth of microorganisms that cause unpleasant odors is stopped. In addition, baking soda reacts with the fatty acids secreted by the scent glands and which the microorganisms feed on.
Bentonite
It is a natural clay composed of minerals that are negatively charged, so it binds poisons and particles that are positively charged. It is characteristic of bentonite that it quickly absorbs moisture and thus creates an unfavorable environment for the growth of microorganisms. The clay also gives the deodorant a silky texture.
Zinc oxide
Zinc oxide (not nano) is, next to baking soda, the most effective ingredient in deodorant. It reacts with fatty acids in sweat and thus prevents the growth of microorganisms. In addition, it reacts with some acidic products that are responsible for the unpleasant smell. The final product is neutral zinc salts that are odorless. The zinc oxide in the deodorant leaves a white residue when applied, but it absorbs nicely when smeared.
Beeswax
Beeswax is produced by worker bees, who must consume more than 8 kg of honey in order to produce 1 kg of wax. Therefore, there are a lot of beneficial ingredients in the wax. Research has shown that beeswax contains over 300 ingredients. It is an indispensable ingredient in the production of natural cosmetics. It gives the skin elasticity, protects it from drying out, and what is most important for the production of deodorants: beeswax has components that prevent the growth of microorganisms. At the same time, it gives the deodorant the right structure and consistency.
Shea Butter
Raw shea butter is also one of the indispensable ingredients in natural cosmetics. It is enriched with vitamins, antioxidants and polyphenols, which have an antimicrobial effect. In deodorant, shea butter is an important ingredient also because it does not leave a greasy feeling when applied. Shea butter is also the only fat that contains the miraculous compound allantoin. Allantoin protects the top layer of the skin.
Lavender essential oil
Essential oils of lavender, lemongrass and bergamothave an antimicrobial effect and at the same time give the deodorant a pleasant smell, leaving our skin gently scented.
Vitamin E
Natural Vitamin E (Tochopherol) is an antioxidant and as such prevents oils and butters from becoming rancid. In addition, it protects the skin from free radicals. The product contains vitamin E of completely natural origin, obtained from plants (not from GMOs), and not synthetically made Tocopherol acetate.
Olive oil
Cold-pressed olive oil is an indispensable ingredient in all Nona Luisa cosmetic products, as it has a beneficial effect on our skin due to its composition.

Frequently Asked Questions
Natural deodorant doesn't seem to work, am I doing something wrong?
If you have recently stopped using synthetic deodorant or even antiperspirants and switched to using natural deodorants, your body needs some time to adjust to the change. The adjustment period varies greatly from individual to individual, both in terms of intensity and length. In addition to the personal characteristics of the individual, the chemical response of the organism is influenced by many factors such as gender, age, diet, state of health, stress, taking medication, etc. I would like to emphasize that the use of deodorants has a much greater impact on the chemical response of your organism than use of other cosmetic products.
It is important to know that:
- a deodorant that is effective on one person may not suit another person,
- a deodorant that initially has no effect may work perfectly after an adjustment period,
- Hypersensitivity reactions are most often the result of an excessive concentration of baking soda - try to use a deodorant with less soda.
Of course, all of this applies to a healthy person who sweats normally. In case of excessive sweating or insufficient sweating, it is necessary to seek medical help.
Tips
-
The product contains shea butter, which is pressed from nuts, so people with nut allergies and sensitive skin should first test the product on a small area of less exposed skin.
-
The product contains natural butters and waxes that can soften at higher temperatures (above 60°C), so allow the product to harden again before using again. It is also characteristic of butters that due to frequent heating and cooling, they can crystallize, which we feel in the balm as tiny granules. The product therefore has not lost its quality, as it is only a physical change.
Durability
-
The packaging is 100% biodegradable.
-
All components are biodegradable and do not accumulate in the environment or aquatic organisms.
Usage
-
Apply the deodorant on dry skin, after washing and in a thin layer. Due to the content of soda, clay and oxide, it leaves a thin white layer on the skin, which soon absorbs nicely into the skin. If you have dark clothes, rub to help rub the product into your skin or wait for it to absorb on its own so it doesn't stain your clothes. It is not a stubborn white residue, like the one that occurs when using antiperspirants, so it is easily washed off when washing.
-
In case of profuse sweating, the natural deodorant must be reapplied after a few hours.
-
Blot the required area (armpits) with a tissue first, if you have the opportunity to wash it beforehand and reapply the deodorant to dry and clean skin. This way you will definitely not develop an unpleasant smell.
