The natural nettle shampoo is a completely natural soap made using the cold process. It contains selected butters, oils, and active ingredients for hair and scalp care. Unlike synthetic chemicals, the natural ingredients in the shampoo gently and thoroughly cleanse the hair and scalp. In doing so, they do not damage the protective layer of the skin. Therefore, hair becomes less oily, dandruff forms in smaller amounts, and hair appears healthier and shinier.

The main difference between commercial and natural solid shampoos is that natural solid shampoos do not contain aggressive foaming agents like SLS/SLES (sodium lauryl sulfate/sodium laureth sulfate) and similar synthetic chemicals. SLS/SLES is an aggressive so-called surfactant that is present in most commercial liquid cleansing products, as it allows the products to foam heavily. SLS/SLES is an extremely aggressive compound that damages the oil protective layer of the skin. These damages to the scalp are the main cause of various hair and scalp problems.

The scalp usually responds to damage to the protective layer with excessive sebum production, which manifests as overly oily hair. Oily hair requires more frequent washing, which further damages the protective layer of the scalp, putting the user of aggressive shampoos in a vicious cycle where hair problems only escalate. In many cases, excessive skin flaking (dandruff) and hair loss are a result of damage to the protective layer of the scalp.

Solid shampoo is suitable for all hair types and lengths. When transitioning from conventional liquid shampoos to solid shampoo bars, users have noticed increased hair volume, less dandruff, less oiliness, and hair has become shinier. Solid shampoo is an excellent choice for travel, camping, and for anyone who wants healthy and shiny hair. Active ingredients:

Ingredients

Olive oil

Cold-pressed olive oil is an indispensable ingredient in all our cosmetic products, as it has a very beneficial effect on our skin due to its composition.

Glycerin

Glycerin in soap is formed as a product of natural saponification.

 

Coconut oil

Refined coconut oil is an effective antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant that also nourishes and soothes the skin. It contains a high amount of lauric acid and its derivative monolaurin. Monolaurin is also found in breast milk and protects the baby from infections. Therefore, monolaurin, along with lauric acid, is effective in fighting various bacteria. Refined coconut oil contains less of these active ingredients, thus effectively inhibiting the growth of microorganisms.

Cocoa butter

Cocoa butter is rich in vitamins, helps in the care of dry skin, and is an important ingredient in shampoo due to its hardness, as it provides good consistency.

Grape seed oil

Cold-pressed grape seed oil (Vitis vinifera seed oil) is rich in phenols, omega-6 fatty acids, and vitamins. The oil is a secondary product of wine production. It is obtained through various types of extraction, with the highest quality being cold-pressed, which is also the main ingredient of this massage oil. The high vitamin E content gives the oil a strong antioxidant potential. The oil also contains phytosterols and resveratrol, which provide the oil with antimicrobial properties. Studies have shown that it improves skin hydration and elasticity and nourishes it.

Wild nettle extract contains many vitamins and minerals that strengthen hair.

Rosemary essential oil

Rosemary essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis) is primarily known in cosmetics for its successful treatment of hair loss.

  

Lavender essential oil

Lavender essential oil is an active aromatherapeutic ingredient. The essential oil of true lavender, Lavandula angustifolia, which we obtain ourselves from cleaned lavender flowers through steam distillation, is one of the most commonly used oils in aromatherapy. Numerous studies have confirmed that the oil consists of over 160 components that synergistically act on various receptors in our body. The known effects of lavender oil are primarily that it promotes relaxation, reduces feelings of anxiety, alleviates depression, insomnia, allergies, eczema, menstrual cramps, and nausea. It is among the safest essential oils, making it suitable for individuals with the most sensitive skin.

Peppermint essential oil

Peppermint essential oil has a refreshing effect and invigorates.

Usage

1. First, we wet the hair.

2. We lather our hands with shampoo and apply it to the hair. We can also directly lather the hair with shampoo.

3. While massaging the scalp, we work the foam well through the length of the hair.

4. The shampoo lathers nicely due to the selected butters and oils.

5. Finally, rinse the shampoo well. Repeat the process if necessary.

Usually, one shampooing is enough. At first, it may happen that shampooing needs to be repeated several times, but with regular use of the soap, this need diminishes. With regular use of the soap, you will not even need a hair conditioner, as the hair will become manageable, healthy, and shiny.

After use, place the soap on a dry surface so it does not lose its consistency, as it contains natural glycerin.

Tips

Transitioning from synthetic shampoo to natural shampoo

When we decide to replace commercial synthetic shampoos with solid natural shampoos, the hair and scalp are in shock for a while. The duration of this, as well as the unwanted side effects, greatly depend on each individual (it can last, for example, up to two months). Hair and scalp need some time to adjust, breathe, and return to balance.

At the beginning of use, hair may become hard and straw-like, possibly also greasy at the roots. This is usually especially true for heavily treated and colored hair, as the solid shampoo, despite its gentle composition, cleanses the hair deeply and thoroughly.

In case the hair is greasy at the roots after washing, it means that washing needs to be intensified and the shampoo should be applied multiple times to cleanse the hair. Hair can be greasy at the roots after washing also because the shampoo is slightly basic, while the dirt contained in the hair due to chemical agents is acidic, which causes a greasy feeling. This also means that the hair is heavily soiled.

If the hair is hard and straw-like, we recommend rinsing the hair at the end with diluted apple cider vinegar (in a ratio of 1:10), which serves as a substitute for hair conditioner.

These appearances are only temporary, until the hair is cleansed of all (usually negatively charged) synthetic compounds. It is important to burden them as little as possible with synthetic care additives.
