Ingredients

Sodium bicarbonate
Baking soda, also sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3, is a salt of a strong base (NaOH) and a weak acid (carbonic acid). Therefore, it has a basic character. It reacts vigorously with acids, producing CO2 gas, which we see as the emergence of bubbles. In cosmetics, baking soda is often used, as it has positive effects on the skin: it softens the skin in the bath, helps with detoxification, and due to its basic nature, it inhibits the growth of microorganisms.

Citric acid
(C6H8O7) is a weak acid that is naturally present in citrus fruits. It is responsible for the acidity of citrus fruits. Upon contact with water, it reacts vigorously with baking soda in the bath ball. During the reaction, neutral products and CO2 gas are formed, which we see as bubbles.

Epsom salt
Magnesium sulfate MgSO4 (also known as bitter salt, Epsom salt) is a colorless crystal with a cool, salty-bitter taste. A well-known Slovenian product that contains magnesium sulfate is Donat Mg. Research has shown that magnesium and sulfate ions are well absorbed through the skin, which is why baths with Epsom salt have a beneficial effect. Magnesium is very important for the human body, as it participates in more than 300 vital metabolic processes in the body: in metabolism, in the functioning of the nervous system and muscles, in the mineralization of bones, etc. Sulfur is obtained in the body from food in the form of sulfate only in insignificant amounts, while the skin easily absorbs it. Sulfate is important for detoxifying the body, stimulates digestion, nutrient absorption, and prevents or alleviates migraines.

Tartaric acid
Tartaric acid is a weak acid of completely natural origin. In the bath ball, it prolongs the reaction time between baking soda and acid.

Essential oils
They have an aromatherapeutic effect on the state of body and mind, while leaving our skin gently scented.

Olive oil
In the ball, it serves as a binder. At the same time, the bath is enriched, as oleic acid has a significant moisturizing effect on our skin and accelerates its regeneration. Due to the composition of fatty acids, olive oil is very similar to the sebum of our skin, which is why it has a beneficial effect on the skin and promotes its renewal.
